Vibrant fiddle player, singer and step-dancer, Jocelyn Pettit, joins us from Western British Columbia for an evening of music. She will be accompanied by her band and special guest musicians. The concert will consist of a 40 minute set, recorded especially for SFS audiences, followed by a live chat and Q& A session with Jocelyn.
With grace and passion, Jocelyn plays an uplifting and engaging set of traditional and original music, inspired by the Celtic and folk cultures of Canada (Cape Breton, Québec), Scotland, Ireland, Brittany, and Galicia.
With her band, Jocelyn has toured across Canada, and in the U.S., the U.K., and Europe. She has appeared on national television and radio; performed for Her Majesty the Queen, and HRH Prince Charles; and shared the stage with Irish supergroup, The Chieftains. Her albums have received multiple award nominations, including “World Artist of the Year” at the Western Canadian Music Awards, and at the Canadian Folk Music Awards.
