CYD SMITH started her lifelong exploration of the guitar in her teens as a classical guitarist, and then found her singing voice through the great jazz standards of the 20s/30s/40s. She produced her first album of original songs in the 1990s, collaborating with musicians such as Joe Pass and many Northwest luminaries. Her songs are a magical concoction of poetry, insight, humor, and brilliant guitar work, weaving together her original influences with various strands of American folk and pop music. She has toured and worked with artists as diverse as Laurie Lewis, Mary Flower, and Rebecca Kilgore, and Russ Barenberg. Now based in Seattle, she performs regularly in concert settings, coffee houses, and bars, enjoying a rich variety of musical collaborators.

“There’s no simple formula to Cyd Smith’s songs; refreshing, unpredictable, and quirky, they’re great songs that really work.” Laurie Lewis
GREG SCOTT has it all: a voice to make an audience swoon; virtuosic guitar playing; a sense of humor on stage that leaves audiences gasping for breath; and songs that capture a vast emotional range. Back in the day, Greg was a favorite with Seattle audiences, performing as a soloist and with many local bands, Including The New Radio Cowboys and All Day Pass. Nashville’s “Performing Songwriter” magazine included his CD “Nameless Love” in a list of “Top 12” independently produced albums. After years of doing the essential work of Metro bus driving in Seattle, he is back in full force, performing with his long time musical partner Leslie Eliel and recording with “The Palace Thieves.”

JULIAN SMEDLEY has been singing and playing for his supper from an early age. Starting at age 10 as a singer in the prestigious cathedral choir at Christ Church College in Oxford, he went on to collaborate with seminal British folk rock bands in England, including working with members of the infamous Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band while under contract to Decca records. After moving to the US, his credits include stints as a violinist with Dan Hicks, Paul Horn, The Hot Club of San Francisco, Clubfoot Orchestra, and Seattle’s Composer and Improvisors Orchestra. A consummate musician, record producer, sound designer, and recording artist, he currently performs in a duo with his wife Alison Odell and with Trio Bistro as well as with other local bands. His recent 12 original song collaboration with The Palace Thieves collective, “When We Were Swans’ will be released later this year.
